Matthew Thomas is a singer songwriter who grew up outside Chicago in the 90's. Having lived in Indiana for the past 15 years, though, he considers himself an adopted Hoosier. Surrounded by the beauty of church music for most of his life, Matthew has always had a desire to make music that wasn't limited to Sunday morning; something that could meet people in the every day and mundane.

His debut EP, “Mustangs & Thoroughbreds, Vol. 1” (2021) acknowledges the tension between who we are and who we want to be. From pop-rock anthems to acoustic musings, Matthew's songs pay homage to artists like Switchfoot and NEEDTOBREATHE - who have built their musical identity on exploring multiple genres while staying true to themselves.

Matthew writes with the authenticity of someone who has lived long enough to experience great love and deep loss. In the midst of it all though, his message is one of hope: for better versions of ourselves and our lives.

Matthew's next project, "Mustangs & Thoroughbreds, Vol. 2" will be released as singles throughout 2023, kicked off by “First Things 1st”, streaming now!
