Fountain Square First Fridays have become an arts and entertainment district staple in Indianapolis, attracting thousands of visitors each month. First Friday features a wide range of art exhibits, artisans and entertainment at over 40 locations throughout the neighborhood.
HI-FI hosts a free early show, which features three emerging artists. First Friday shows at HI-FI have a history of creating “I saw them here first” moments with breakout performances by Sturgill Simpson, Reignwolf, Wild Cub, John Fullbright, Free Energy, Welles and many more.
Late Night, Old Soul Entertainment curates what is arguably Indy’s top underground dance party–Back To The Future. The open format concept attracts sellout crowds after many First Friday activities come to an end. The event appeals to a wide audience, often going from Drake to Nirvana to Steve Miller Band with 2 DJ’s going head to head from 11 p.m. until 3 a.m.
Both events take place at HI-FI, located inside the Historic Murphy Arts Building in the heart of Fountain Square. Additionally, we host a monthly art exhibit and local band showcase in the LO-FI Lounge on the 2nd floor.
